Tucanae (Yeats) Wins Her Bumper At Limerick

Lots To Look Forward To With Well-Bred Yeats Mare

The well-bred Tucanae (4f Yeats - Nova Cyngi, by Kris S) gained her second career success when taking Thursday’s bumper at Limerick.

The winner of a four-year-old mares maiden at Dromohane in April, she was sent off second-favourite for the mares’ two mile bumper on heavy ground. Barry O’Neill rode her to track the leader, gaining the advantage approaching the two furlong marker and was ridden to hold off Nelly’s Money by a length and a quarter on the line.

Paul Nolan, who trains the winner for Modebest Equine Ltd, later described his charge as “a lovely mare,” adding, “She is very tough, has a brilliant attitude and is a very nice one going forward.” The daughter of Yeats is a half-sister to Dodging Bullets and was bred by Eclipse Bloodstock.
