Low Sun shines for Champs Elysees

Willie Mullins saddled Low Sun (5g Champs Elysees-Winter Solstice, by Unfuwain) to land a bumper prize fir Champs Elysees at Fairyhouse on Tuesday.

The five-year-old gave claimer Katie O’Farrell a big-race success when carrying Susannah Ricci’s famous colours to victory in the €100,000 Grade A RYBO Handicap Hurdle. The duo stayed on well to win the two-mile prize by two and a quarter lengths.

“It was a nice pot to land with him,” said Mullins. “He'll mix it during the summer and he'll probably go to Punchestown and then back on the Flat.”
