Mahler Mare Gains Deserved Maiden Win

Party Vibes (5m Mahler – Flame Of Dixie, by Beneficial) built on some promising performances to justify favouritism in the Mares Novices’ Hurdle at Wincanton on Tuesday.

The Mahler mare finished second between the flags for Michael Murphy before joining the Henry Daly yard for Richard Johnson Racing. Runner-up on her first two starts for new connections, she was sent off favourite to go one better under Richard Patrick on Tuesday.

Leading from flag-fall, the bay kept on well from the final flight to win by two lengths and three quarters. Dolly Delightful (Soldier Of Fortune) and Lily Luna (Soldier Of Fortune) finished second and third respectively.

Party Vibes becomes the first winner bred by M O’Keeffe out of Flame Of Dixie.
