Malone Hoping Son Of Milan Repeats History

Tom Malone hopes to continue his fruitful association with Milan, after purchasing Kilmoney Cottage Stud’s son of the Grange Stud sire for €165,000 on the second day of the Goffs Land Rover Sale.

After signing the docket, the busy agent said, “I’ve had serious luck with Milan in the past and bought a Grand National winner by him,” said Malone. "I loved this horse, he’s from a great nursery and is for Paul Nicholls.”

The Grand National winner Malone referred to is One For Arthur (Milan), who won two Grade 3 chases for Lucinda Russell. Paul Nicholls, meanwhile, trained Malone’s store purchase McFabulous (Milan) to win four Graded contests.
