Milan Mare Delights De Bromhead At Tramore
Point-to-point winner Miss Tempo (5m Milan - Butlers Storm, by Glacial Storm) added a maiden hurdle success to her resume wen justifying even-money favouritism at Tramore on Friday.
Purchased privately after a winning debut for David Harry Kelly, the daughter of Milan was narrowly beaten in a bumper on her first start for Henry de Bromhead and filled the same position against geldings in a maiden hurdle last month.
Stepping up to two miles and five furlongs for the Kilmeaden Mares Maiden Hurdle, the bay tracked the leader under Rachael Blackmore and joined Robyndeglory (Fame And Glory) at the third last. Producing her challenge at the final flight, she kept on well on the run-in to score by a head on the line.
“I'm delighted with her,” De Bromhead later commented. “She is a lovely mare and came well recommended.” Owned by the Ferroandel Racing Syndicate, Miss Tempo was bred by Alan Clarke.
