The Gingrin (Milan) winning at Bellharbour

Milan Mare Draws Clear On Debut At Bellharbour

Thegingrin (5m Milan - Niamh’s Away, by Presenting) produced a smart performance to make a winning debut at Bellharbour on Sunday.

Trained by Gerard Lawless and ridden by his son Brian, the daughter of Milan was sent off favourite for the 12 runner contest. Running on well on the inside approaching two out, the bay soon quickened clear and went on to win by eight lengths.

Breeder Oliver Loughlin is enjoying a successful spell with Thegingrin’s dam, having sold her last two colt foals by Walk In The Park and Capri for €56,000 and €30,000 respectively. Kieran McManus went to €62,000 for her Milan three-year-old at last year’s Goffs Landrover Sale.
