Milan Mare Gains First Hurdle Win With Ease
The Harry Fry-trained Whitehotchillifili (5m Milan - Mhuire Na Gale, by Norwich) built on a promising hurdle debut to run out an impressive winner of Thursday’s Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at Wincanton.
Third in a similar contest in October, the bay encountered heavy ground for the first time on Thursday and made all the running under Sean Bowen. Clear at the second last, she won by nine lengths unchallenged.
Whitehotchillifili adds to a bumper success last season, when she also finished fourth in a Listed bumper. Owned by the Chasing Gold Racing Club, she was bred by Ms Margaret Treacy and is a half-sister to four-time winner Wild West Wind (Westerner).
