Milan Mare Makes Winning Debut At Loughanmore
The Denis Murphy owned and trained Movin’On Up (4m Milan - Kalygarde, by Kapgarde) made a winning debut under Jamie Codd at Loughanmore on Sunday.
13 lined up for the Four-Year-Old Mares Maiden sponsored by Tattersalls Ireland and Codd rode his mount towards the back of the field, waiting until the fifth last to make progress. Gaining on the leaders from two out, she stayed on to go second approaching the final fence and led on the flat, going on to score by three lengths.
A half-sister to hurdle winner Niccolai (Flemensfirth), Movin’On Up was bred by Louis Vambeck out of a winning half-sister to top-class chaser Mansony.
