Milan Mare Races Clear On Second Start
Flexi Furlough (4f Milan - Young Lady, by Vinnie Roe) proved a class above her rivals when racing clear to win Thursday’s bumper at Sedgefield.
The Gillian Boanas-trained grey finished a promising fourth against the geldings on debut last month and faced ten rivals on her second start. Racing in midfield for much of the way under Ross Chapman, she was pushed along from four furlongs out and chased down the leaders a furlong later. Ridden out, she led inside the final furlong and ran on well to win by 15 lengths.
Bred by Margaret Mullins and the late Peter Magnier, Flexi Furlough becomes the first winner out of Young Lady, herself a half-sister to multiple Graded winner Teaatral.
