Milan Mare Races Clear To Maiden Victory
Polla Milano (5m Milan - Issaquah, by Supreme Leader) built on a promising third last time out to take the Mares’ Maiden at Boulta on Sunday.
Owned and trained by Vincent Carroll, the bay raced in mid-division for much of the way and began to improve her position from four out. Leading after the third last, she was clear from the final fence and kept on well to score by 12 lengths under Chris O’Sullivan.
The daughter of Grange Stud sire Milan was bred by Mary O’Sullivan out of Graded performer Issaquah.
