Noble Yeats A Joy To Watch In Listed Chase
Grand National hero Noble Yeats (7g Yeats - That’s Moyne, by Flemensfirth) returned to winning ways in Monday’s feature at Wexford, the Listed M.W. Hickey Memorial Chase.
Emmet Mullins’ stable star was ridden prominently by Sean Bowen and jumped well throughout the two mile and seven furlong contest. Pushed along from two out, he boasted a clear advantage at the final fence and kept on strongly to win by a comfortable four lengths and three quarters, the field strung out behind him.
“It was a joy to watch,” Mullins later declared. and there wasn't too many anxious moments," Mullins commented. He is a very versatile horse and was foot perfect today.” On future plans, he added, “I'd imagine it will be Aintree for him again but there should be plenty of races for him between now and then.”
The now five-time winner is owned by Robert Waley-Cohen and was bred by Mrs Kristene Hunter.
