Ocovango Mare Draws Clear To Maiden Victory

Rock On Anna (5m Ocovango - Knockmehill Lady, by Rudimentary) built on a promising debut to take the 5YO+ Mares Maiden at Comea on Sunday.

Fourth at Turtulla last month, the daughter of Ocovango was reunited with Michael Sweeney at Comea and chased the leaders for much of the way. Improving into second from two out, she gained a clear advantage at the final fence and kept on well to score by an impressive 18 lengths.

Rock On Anna is bred, owned and trained by Michelle Gannon, who also trained the mare’s brother Rock On Harry (Yeats) to win his maiden last month.
