First Point-to-Point Incentive Winner of the Season
The Coolmore National Hunt division were delighted to announce the return of the Coolmore National Hunt incentive last week, whereby breeders of an open 4YO or 5YO only Irish Point-to-Point maiden winner during the new season, sired by any Coolmore N.H. stallion (past or present), will receive a €1,000 credit.
The new season got off to a great start last Saturday with the opening contest of the season producing another qualifier for the incentive. Auntie Lacey (Getaway) asserted in the straight to land the 4YO Mares Maiden at Toomebridge on Saturday for Colin Bowe. Bred by Buttevant-based farrier William Fitzgerald, she is the first foal out of Auntie Mary, a half-sister to Irish Gold Cup (Grade 1) and Savills Chase (Grade 1) winner Conflated (Yeats).
