Progressive Son Of Milan Adds To Fine Record
Milan Bridge (6g Milan - Ice Princess, by Presenting) made it three from four over hurdles with an impressive success in the Novices’ Hurdle at Fontwell on Friday.
The Paul Nicholls-trained bay tracked the leader for much of the way and produced a challenge with three flights left to jump. Ridden to lead from two out, he stayed on well on the run-in to score by eight and a half lengths under Tom Buckley.
Owned by Exors of the late Trevor Hemmings, Milan Bridge began his career between the flags with Damian Murphy, for whom he was placed. The €65,000 store purchased was bred by Padraig Ryan out of Ice Princess, whose Milan gelding sold for €70,000 at last year’s store sales.
