Progressive Son Of Westerner Lands Novice Hurdle

The promising Bowtogreatness (5g Westerner - Miss Baden, by Supreme Leader) ran out a convincing winner of Thursday’s Novices’ Hurdle at Ffos Las.

Placed in two bumpers last season, the Ben Pauling-trained gelding was well-supported on his second start over hurdles. Tracking the leaders under Kielan Woods, he led from the third last and was ridden out to beat the favourite, a maiden hurdle winner, by two lengths.

Owned by Harry Redknapp and Sophie Pauling, the son of Westerner was bred by John McDonald.
