Progressive Son Of Yeats Gains Bumper Win
The improving Presenting Yeats (4g Yeats - Va’vite, by Vinnie Roe) built on a fine seasonal return to win Friday’s bumper at Stratford.
The Milton Harris-trained bay finished third in a similar contest last month under Kevin Jones, who once again took the ride on Friday. Tracking the leader for much of the two mile and one furlong trip, he was ridden from two furlongs out and led narrowly a furlong later. He kept on to score by a neck, with another three parts of a length back to previous winner Beholden in third.
Presenting Yeats is owned by Mrs Diane Dewbery, who bred the son of Yeats with Mrs B Woodcock. He is the first foal out of useful hurdler Va’vite, herself a half-sister to dual Grade 1 winner Paisley Park (Oscar).
