Promising Walk In The Park Mare Off The Mark
Crazierthandaisy (5m Walk In The Park – Daisy de Sivola, by Assessor) built on a promising debut to justify favouritism in the mares’ bumper at Plumpton on Sunday.
The Nicky Henderson-trained mare caught the eye when finishing a close third to more experienced rivals in January, and was sent off the even-money favourite to build on that effort. Ridden prominently by James Bowen, she was shaken up to lead approaching the final furlong and defied signs of greenness to win by two lengths. Getaways Girl (Getaway) completed a 1-2 for Grange Stud sires.
Crazierthandaisy is owned and bred by Kenneth Alexander.
