Inch House (Ocovango) Makes A Winning Debut At Dromahane

Smart Newcomer Continues Fine Run For Ocovango

The Sam Curling owned and trained Inch House (4g Ocovango, by Ask Hazel) made a bright start to his career when landing the second division of the four-year-old geldings maiden at Dromahane on Thursday.

The bay raced prominently in the field of 15, gaining a slight advantage approaching the second last and kept on well on the run-in to win by two lengths under Pa King. Fellow newcomer Are U Wise To That (Walk In The Park) claimed runners-up honours, while Galway Mahler (Mahler) took third.

The son of Ocovango was bred by Robert McCarthy out of a half-sister to useful performer Abbey Lane (Flemensfirth).
