Smart Three-Year-Old Winner For Walk In The Park
Thenac (3g Walk In The Park - Ryde, by Sillery) appears to have a bright future after making a winning debut in Saturday’s Prix De Monein at Pau.
The Guillaume Macaire-trained three-year-old was ridden to track the leaders by James Reveley and was travelling well when taking second four from home. He led approaching the final flight and was pushed out to win by five lengths in comfortable fashion, his rivals strung out behind him.
Part-owned by Macaire with Genetique Obstacle, Thenac was bred by Earl de Faydeau, who sold him for €80,000 last July. He is from the final French crop by Walk In The Park, who now stands at Grange Stud.
