Soldier Of Fortune Mare Gains Deserved Win At Tattersalls

Glendaars Fortune (5m Soldier Of Fortune - Glendars Breeze, by Presenting) continued Soldier Of Fortune’s smart start to the season when running out a clear winner at Tattersalls point-to-point on Sunday.

Runner-up on her first three starts, Frank Reynolds’ homebred making her first start of the season for James Fahey in the five-year-old mares’ maiden. Ridden to track the leader by Ray Barron, she leapt into the lead at the final fence and kept on strongly to score by eight lengths, with another 12 lengths back to the third.

The progressive mare becomes the first winner out of Glendars Breeze, who hails from the family of top chaser Waterloo Boy (Deep Run).
