Soldier Of Fortune Mare Scores On Debut For Bowe
Soldier Of Fortune’s latest crop of four-year-olds continued to make their presence felt on Sunday, when North Of Nashville (4m Soldier Of Fortune - Gudnis Gracious Me, by Mull Of Kintyre) made a winning debut in the Four-Year-Old Mares Maiden at Tipperary.
The Colin Bowe-trained bay led from three out and after defying a challenge at the final fence, ran on to score by three lengths, with the first two finishing ten lengths clear of the third.
Barry O’Neill partnered the winner, who is owned by Leo McArdle. Bred by Robert McCarthy, she becomes the first winner out of the mare; a three-time winner from the family of Benny The Dip.
Soldier Of Fortune’s current crop of four-year-olds is his first since moving to the Beeches Stud. They include unbeaten Listed winner Belle Metal and impressive newcomer Derrylinda.
