Soldier Of Fortune Three Year Old Strikes On Debut
Fortuitous Favour (3f Soldier Of Fortune - Northwood Milan, by Milan) was delivered late to make a winning debut in Saturday’s three-year-old fillies bumper at Wetherby.
The Anthony Honeyball owned and trained bay was sent off second favourite under Richard Patrick, who positioned his mount towards the back of the field. Making headway from three furlongs out, she showed signs of greenness when ridden approaching the final furlong and ran on well to lead in the shadow of the post.
The promising Soldier Of Fortune filly was bred by JR Weston out of a Milan half-sister to two Grade 1 performers.
