Hens Tooth (Getaway) Wins The Bumper At Limerick

Son Of Getaway Bolts Up On Rules Debut

Hens Tooth (5g Getaway – Sagabolley, by Sagamix) made an impressive start for new connections when drawing clear in Wednesday’s bumper at Limerick.

The son of Getaway was sent off favourite on his first start for Willie Mullins, having been purchased privately following his maiden win at Belclare for Sam Curling. Jody Townend rode the bay to make all on his rules debut and began to quicken from two furlongs out. Soon clear, he needed little encouragement to lead by ten lengths on the line, as €255,000 purchase Lough Owel claimed runners-up honours.

The exciting prospect is owned by Michael Feeley and was bred by Thomas McGrath.
