Son Of Getaway Not For Catching In Bumper
Imperial B G (5g Getaway - Milan Pride, by Milan) took another step forward on Sunday to justify favouritism in the bumper at Carlisle.
Third when last seen at Huntingdon, Nigel Twiston-Davies’ charge made all under Jordan Nailor and was shaken up over two furlongs from home. Ridden out, he kept on well to win by four and a quarter lengths.
Speaking after the race, the winning rider said, “He's a lovely horse, he's so genuine. Hopefully, he'll make a nice novice hurdler next season.”
Owned by the Imperial Racing Partnership, the son of Getaway was bred by William Neville out of the unraced Milan mare Milan Pride.
