Son Of Leading Light Enjoys Bumper Success

Full of Light (5g Leading Light - Scartara, by Linamix) became the latest first crop winner by Leading Light when landing Friday’s bumper at Downpatrick in the colours of breeder Daniel Furini.

Racing over two miles and one furlong, Mags Mullins’ charge was positioned in midfield by Tom Hamilton and was travelling well approaching the two furlong marker. Shaken up before the final furlong, he was ridden to lead soon after and kept on well to win by two lengths and three quarters.

Full Of Light becomes Leading Light’s second winner of the week, following Edison Kent’s maiden hurdle success at Killarney, while at the weekend, Tigers Roar (Leading Light) landed the five-year-old geldings maiden at Dromahane. The top-class son of Montjeu stands at Grange Stud.
