Son Of Mahler Bolts Up On Debut
Well-backed newcomer Castle Carrock (5g Mahler – Myztique, by High Chaparral) outclassed his rivals with a wide margin victory in Wednesday’s bumper at Ayr.
Nicky Richards’ charge was sent off a short-priced favourite under Danny McMenamin and after a sedate pace in the first four furlongs, led for the rest of the way. Quickening from four furlongs out, the bay boasted a clear advantage a furlong from home and went on to score by 16 lengths.
The son of Mahler is owned by R Bewley and bred by Ms Margaret McKenna.
