Son Of Mahler Extends Unbeaten Record With Ease
Bill Joyce (5g Mahler – Bettys Delight, by Flemensfirth) added an impressive win to his unbeaten record when drawing clear at Exeter on Friday.
The son of Mahler sold for £225,000 after winning a four-year-old maiden for Benny Walsh and made a winning start for Jonjo O’Neill in a Class 2 bumper last month. He was sent off favourite to defy a penalty in Friday’s bumper and made all of the running under AJ O’Neill. Pushed clear from two furlongs out, he went on to win by eight and a half lengths from fellow bumper winner Joyau Allen.
Bill Joyce is owned by Dan Walker and was bred by Mrs Mary Hayes. The exciting prospect is a full-brother to Churchroad Prince (Mahler), who finished a close second on his hurdle bow at Punchestown last month.
