Son Of Mahler Makes All To Maiden Victory
A change in tactics saw Storm Hill (7g Mahler - Midnight Pleasure, by Great Palm) get off the mark in Monday’s maiden hurdle at Plumpton.
Unlucky not to win between the flags for Maike Magnussen, the son of Mahler appeared to relish the frontrunning tactics on his second start for Paul Henderson. Going best of the field at the second last, he was shaken up at the final flight and kept on well to win by a comfortable four lengths under Joshua Moore.
Storm Hill is owned by Ed Hawkings and was bred by S Casey out of a half-sister to Grade 3 chaser Marshall Hall.
