Son Of Mahler Wins Novice Hurdle On Return
Promising point-to-point recruit Track And Trace (6g Mahler - Princess Bella, by Presenting) made a winning return to action in Monday’s Novices’ Hurdle at Warwick.
The son of Mahler finished third in a Lingstown maiden on his sole start for Sean Doyle, before joining the Jonjo O’Neill yard and was sent off second favourite on his seasonal return. Racing over two miles and five furlongs, the bay raced prominently throughout under Jonjo O’Neill Junior and led from three out. Pushed along approaching the next, he was driven out on the run-in to deny a late challenge by a short head.
Speaking after the race, the winning rider said, “It was a good performance after a long time off and hopefully Track And Trace improve from the run.”
Track And Trace is owned by Bruton Street and was red by Martin Doyle.
