Third on two previous occasions, the bay was ridden to chase the leaders by Barry O’Neill and improved to dispute from three out. Leading from the final fence, he kept on well under pressure to hold off Corey Lord by a neck, as the pair drew a distance clear of the third.

Sempione Park was bred by Padhraic and Neill Doran out of a full-sister to Grade 2 winners Rouble and Kopeck.
