Son Of Milan Impresses On Second Bumper Success

Chuvelo (4g Milan - Bargante, by Phardante) made it two from two for the Donald McCain stable when running out an ultra-impressive winner of Friday’s bumper at Bangor.

The bay was bought by McCain for £100,000 after finishing a close second on debut for Sam Curling in the George Mernagh Bumper at Fairyhouse. He went on to win a bumper last month and was unsurprisingly sent off favourite on his third start. Brian Hughes rode him to make all, drawing clear from over two furlongs out and extended his advantage to 23 lengths on the line.

Owned by TG Leslie and bred by M Doran, Chuvelo is a full-brother to Munster National winner Double Seven (Milan).
