Roaring Bull (Milan) Wins The Paddy Power Chase At Leopardstown

Son Of Milan Lands Thrilling Paddy Power Chase

Roaring Bull (6g Milan - Gift Of Freedom, by Presenting) stayed on well to prevail in a thrilling finish to Friday’s feature at Leopardstown, the Grade B Paddy Power Chase.

Given a hold-up ride by Jack Kennedy, the Gordon Elliott-trained bay did not look a likely winner as the field turned for home in the three mile test on soft ground. Sixth at the final fence, he ran on well on the flat to lead close home and denied the favourite Fitzhenry (Flemensfirth) by half a length.

In gaining his sixth career success, Roaring Bull landed a valuable prize of €110,000 for owners Gigginstown House Stud. Bred by M Doran, the son of Grange Stud sire Milan is bred on the same cross as Grade 1 chasers Beat That (Milan), Ordinary World (Milan) and Monbeg Notorious (Milan).
