Mossy Fen (Milan) winning at Loughbrickland

Son Of Milan Makes Amends For Doyle

The Donnchadh Doyle-trained Mossy Fen (4g Milan - Inch Native, by Supreme Leader) made up for falling on debut when winning his second start at Loughbrickland on Saturday.

The Aidan Byrne-bred gelding was sent off favourite at Castletown earlier in the month but fell at the first fence. Now ridden by James Walsh, the bay quickened well on the run in to beat Somptueux by two lengths, with all of 12 lengths back to the third horse.

Mossy Fen is the first winner out of the winning mare Inch Native, from the top family of Sound Man, Pairofbrowneyes, Samcro and Roberto Goldback.
