Son Of Milan Races Clear To Second Novice Hurdle Win
Friday saw the Philip Hobbs-trained Orbys Legend (5g Milan - Morning Legend, by Bob Back) record his second win from three starts over hurdles at Sandown.
Second on his sole start in a point-to-point for Liam Kenny, the bay filled the same place in a bumper on his first start for Highclere Thoroughbred Racing, before winning a novice hurdle. Third last time out, the bay appeared to appreciate Friday’s return to two miles and led at the penultimate flight. Ridden out on the run-in, he kept on well to score by 12 lengths under Richard Johnson.
The son of Milan was bred by Michael Dillon out of a half-sister to talented mares Morning Run and Morning Supreme.
