Son Of Milan Reaches New Heights Over Fences

Moonshine Bay (5g Milan - Chantoue Royale) ran out an impressive winner of the Irish Stallion Farms Beginners Chase at Thurles on Saturday.

The Jessica Harrington-trained bay won twice over hurdles last season and finished fourth on his chase debut three weeks ago. Stepping up to three miles at the weekend, he was sent off favourite under Robbie Power, who rode him to chase the leaders for much of the way and took the lead six fences out. Headed briefly at the second last, he showed a game attitude to soon regain the lead and was driven clear to win by five lengths.
