Son Of Milan Records Four Wins In A Row
Cavalry Master (7g Milan - Magie De Toulouse, by Northern Crystal) recorded his fourth consecutive success on Friday when landing the Novice Chase at Killarney.
A course and distance winner in May, the Henry De Bromhead-trained grey was sent off second favourite under Mike O’Connor and chased the leader for much of the two mile and seven furlong test. Leading after the fourth last, he was asked to quicken from two out and kept on well on the run-in to win by a length and three quarters.
Speaking after the race, the winning rider said, “Cavalry Master is a great servant and is really consistent. He seems to enjoy himself around Killarney and he's a nice horse going forward.”
As well as four wins over fences, Cavalry Master has won a maiden hurdle and bumper for Gigginstown House Stud. Bought by his trainer for €92,000, the son of Milan was bred by James Cummins and Ms Jacqueline Taylor.
