Son Of Milan Tops Awesome Week With €370,000 Sale
Goffs Land Rover Bumper winner Absolute Notions (4g Milan - Colleen Donnoige, by Beneficial) provided connections with further reason to celebrate when topping the Goffs Punchestown Sale at €370,000.
The Micheal Conaghan-owned bay made an impressive start to his career on Tuesday, when drawing six and a half lengths clear, and Gordon Elliott was so taken with his charge that he bought the runner-up for €235,000.
Absolute Notions was next into the ring to an opening bid of €100,000. Frank Berry did his best to secure the top lot, but honours eventually went to Mags O’Toole, who later said, “I’ve bought him for a client and I don’t know where he will be going, but he’s a lovely horse and couldn’t have done it any better here on Tuesday. The Land Rover Bumper has been won by some top class horses and let’s hope he’s another one.”
The son of Milan was bred by Brian and Bronagh Lawler out of the unraced mare Colleen Donnoige.
