Son Of Milan Wins Maiden On Debut At Boulta
Clounts Pride (5g Milan - Knockreer Native, by Be My Native) made a successful debut at Boulta on Sunday, landing the five and six-year-old geldings maiden over three miles.
A non-runner last weekend due to quick ground, the Robert Tyner-trained gelding joined the leaders with three fences left to jump and reacted well to pressure from Derek O’Connor to lead on the run-in, beating Exciting Oscar (Oscar) by a head. The pair were the only two finishers on the heavy ground, having faced 11 other rivals at the start of proceedings.
Bred by Mary O’Sullivan, Clounts Pride is owned by his breeder in partnership with Daniel McCarthy.
