Son Of Ocovango Extends Perfect Rules Record
Ukantango (5g Ocovango - Molly Be, by First Trump) made an impressive hurdle debut at Aintree on Friday to make it two from two for the Olly Murphy stable.
Bought after finishing a close third in a four-year-old maiden for Colin Motherway, the son of Ocovango made a perfect start for new owner Alan Peterson in a bumper in March. The chesnut was sent off favourite for the two mile Novices’ Hurdle and was ridden to make all by Aidan Coleman. Drawing clear at the final flight, he kept on well to score by nine lengths.
Ukantango was bred by Thistletown Stud out of a half-sister to Grade 2 winning chaser Keltic Bard.
