Dell Oro (Walk In The Park) winning the Weatherby's Racing Bank Chase at Huntingdon

Son Of Walk In The Park Now Cheltenham Bound

The Gary Moore trained Dell Oro (6g Walk In The Park - Kallistea, by Sicyos) defied top weight to land the competitive Weatherbys Racing Bank Chase at Huntingdon on Friday.

A bumper winner and successful over hurdles, the six-year-old finished second on his chase debut in November and took fourth on Boxing Day at Kempton. Sent off favourite for his fine form, he was ridden to chase the leaders and improved into second three from home. Leading at the second last fence, he was ridden out by Joshua Moore to win by two and three parts of a length.

Gary Moore, who trains the winner for the Galloping On The South Downs Partnership, said after the race, “Dell Oro has a great mind on him this horse and that's been shown by how he performed after what happened to him today. He'll definitely be considered for the Close Brothers Chase at Cheltenham.”

Now a three-time winner, Dell Oro was bred by Laurent Adalbert.
