Son Of Westerner Makes Perfect Start Under Rules

Point-to-point winner Johnny Dogs (6g Westerner - Soi, by Bob Back) made a successful start for new connections in Thursday’s maiden hurdle at Market Rasen.

The son of Westerner was well-supported to make a winning start for Susan Corbett, having been last seen winning his maiden at Rathcannon for Steve Jones. Racing over an extended two and a half miles, he was ridden to make all by Nathan Moscrop and was pushed clear on the run-in to win by three and a half lengths.

The promising son of Westerner is owned by the Rede Valley Raiders and was bred by T Conroy.
