Son Of Westerner Makes Winning Debut At Dromahane

Donny Boy (4g Westerner - Lady Roania, by Saddlers’ Hall) led home a 1-2-3 for Coolmore NH sires in the first division of Sunday’s four-year-old maiden at Dromahane.

Hailing from the in-form Aidan Fitzgerald stable, the newcomer raced in mid-division under Harley Dunne and began to make headway from three out. Leading before the second last, the bay ran on well to win by four lengths from Barony Legends (Yeats), while Camp Belan (Milan) took third.

Bred by Karen McLoughney, Donny Boy is a full-brother to bumper and hurdle winner Ebony Jewel (Westerner).
