Cool Survivor (Westerner) Wins On Debut At Cork

Son Of Westerner Produces Perfect Debut Performance

The Cormac Doyle-trained newcomer Cool Survivor (4g Westerner - Pale Face, by High Chaparral) led home a 1-2 for Coolmore NH sires in the second division of Saturday’s four-year-old maiden at Cork.

Leading from three out under Jack Hendrick, the bay kept on well to win by four lengths from fellow newcomer Serious Charges (Soldier Of Fortune). The front pair drew well-clear of the field.

Cool Survivor was bred by Mr JP Finlay out of a half-sister to Sehrezad, a three-time Group winner on the flat.
