Son Of Yeats Battles Back For Bumper Win
Impressive point-to-point winner Rock On Harry (6g Yeats - Knockmehill Lady, by Rudimentary) made a winning start for new connections in Sunday’s bumper at Ffos Las.
The son of Yeats drew 12 lengths clear on his final start for owner/breeder/trainer Michelle Gannon in January and was sent off favourite on his first start for Tom Lacey. Held up at the back of the field by Stan Sheppard, he made headway along the back straight and took third turning for home. Leading from two furlongs out, he was soon ridden and after being headed inside the final furlong, battled back to lead by a head on the line.
Rock On Harry is owned by the Value Racing Club.
