Son Of Yeats Beats Competitive Field On Debut
Glen Wyllin (6g Yeats - Deep Leader, by Supreme Leader) created a fine impression when making a winning debut in Friday’s bumper at Ballinrobe.
Chasing the leaders under Noel McParlan, the Tom Gibney trained bay was pushed along from two furlongs out and ran on to lead entering the final furlong. Keeping on well, he scored by a length and a half from £100,000 purchase Fameaftertheglory (Fame And Glory), with the same distance back to point-to-point winner Glengouly in third.
Owned by Thomas O’Connor, Glen Wyllin was bred by Mrs Aisling Leer and hails from the family of Conna Castle.
