Scots Poet (5g Yeats - Blue Nymph, by Selkirk) made it a day to remember for trainer Ewan Whillans when staying on strongly to win Thursday’s bumper at Stratford.

Whillans’s first day with a licence began with a win earlier on the card and once again teamed up with Callum Bewley to complete the double. The Distillery Stud homebred showed a preference for the left-handed track and made good headway from three furlongs out. Ridden to challenge approaching the final furlong, he stayed on well to win by two lengths.
