Son Of Yeats Draws Clear In Maiden Hurdle
Rock On Harry (7g Yeats - Knockmehill Lady, by Rudimentary) impressed at Market Rasen on Sunday when gaining a deserved win over hurdles.
The son of Yeats joined Tom Lacey’s yard after a wide margin point-to-point win for breeder/owner/trainer Michelle Gannon and made a successful start for new connections in a bumper. Runner-up on his last two starts, he was sent off favourite to go one better in the maiden hurdle over two miles.
Ned Fox took the ride, positioning the bay in second for much of the way and led with two to jump. Clear approaching the final flight, he kept on well to win by eight and a half lengths, the field strung out behind him.
