Son Of Yeats Draws Clear To Maiden Hurdle Success
Sure Touch (6g Yeats - Liberthine, by Chamberlin) made a smart return to action in Friday’s maiden hurdle at Newton Abbot.
Absent since March, Olly Murphy’s bumper winner was sent off favourite on return, having been placed on three occasions over hurdles. Racing in touch under Sean Bowen, he was shaken up to challenge upon entering the straight and led from the second last. Soon clear, he went on to score by a comfortable nine lengths.
Bred by Upton Viva Stud, the son of Yeats becomes the third winner out of talented chaser Libertine.
