The Sad Shepherd (Yeats) Wins His Maiden At Largy

Son Of Yeats Leads Them Home At Largy

The Sad Shepherd (5g Yeats - Ciannte, by Definite Article) completed a double for the Crawford brothers at Largy when running out a convincing winner of his maiden.

The TJ Topping-owned bay was making his third start on Saturday and raced towards the back of the field under Ben Crawford, progressing into second from the halfway point. Travelling well with two fences left to jump, he was soon in command and kept on well to win by four lengths.

Bred by Mrs Linda Gault, the son of Yeats becomes the first winner out of the mare Ciannte.
