Noble Yeats (Yeats) Strides Clear In The Thurles Bumper

Son Of Yeats Stamps His Class In Thurles Bumper

Noble Yeats (6g Yeats - That’s Moyne, by Flemensfirth) could not have been more impressive when running out an unchallenged winner of Wednesday’s bumper at Thurles.

Narrowly beaten on his sole start between the flags for Donal Hassett, the son of Yeats made a promising start for Emmet Mullins and Paul Byrne when finishing third in a Limerick bumper last month. Stepping up to two and a half miles on Wednesday, he was sent off the short-priced favourite under Patrick Mullins and obliged when asked to quicken approaching two furlongs out. Soon clear, he confirmed his class when registering a winning margin of 19 lengths.

Emmet Mullins did not seem surprised by the nature of his charge’s performance, later commenting, “ He was impressive and I couldn't ask for any more. It was just good to get that win today and he showed his true colours. He's an exciting horse for the future and when we go jumping we could be looking forward to better things.”

Noble Yeats continues a successful period for his breeder Kristene Hunter, with his full-sister Hudson Yard (Yeats) having made a winning hurdle debut for the Jamie Snowden stable earlier this month.
